The Bayou Bandit
Call USCG licensed and insured Captain Jody Waldorff today! With over 35 years of flounder gigging experience, he will put you on the fish! Our custom built 24' shallow draft aluminum boat floats in less than 6" of water to get us in the shallow bayous where the big boys are! Beat the summer heat and come breathe the salty night air while you fill the cooler gigging flounder, redfish, sheepshead, drum, mullet, and rays. (redfish are allowed to be harvested by gig in Mississippi). The Bayou Bandit uses batteries to run her lights, so no loud noise or fumes from a generator! On a typical night it is common to gig 10-15 flounder and have the opportunity to gig plenty of redfish and sheepshead. All licenses are included in the price! Flounder gigging Trips
Total trip price is $650 for up to 4 people. This 5-hour charter starts at dark every Friday and Saturday night. Our flounder gigging charters are an absolute BLAST! We gig Flounder, Redfish (in Mississippi waters), Sheepshead, Mullet, and rays! Bring the kids, they love catching crabs with the net! All licenses, fish cleaning, ice, and all equipment needed to harvest fish is included in this price. Feel free to bring your beverage of choice (no glass bottles please) and snacks! Your fish will be prepared to your liking in gallon bags, so bring a cooler for your car ride home! We Limit our flounder harvest to 20 flounder per trip to help preserve the population for future trips. Please call 251-465-1598 for availability before booking. $100 deposit required to book your trip, the remainder is due at the end of your charter.
Flounder Fishing Trips
Total trip price is $350 for one person and $500 for two. All licenses and fish cleaning included in the price. This is a 5hour trip offered Friday through Monday! Morning trips are from 6am to 11am and evening trips are from 2pm to 7pm. My flounder fishing trips are designed for anglers that fish often but want to specifically target and catch more flounder with artificial baits, learn how to consistently catch more flounder, learn where to target flounder on different tides and around different structures. Learn how flounder behave and teach anglers how to feel that flounder bite. We also catch quite a few redfish as well on these trips. I encourage anglers to bring their own rod and reel that they are familiar with using, but I can have mine available upon request. Artificials and jig heads are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Feel free to bring your beverage of choice (no glass bottles please) and snacks! Your fish will be prepared to your liking in gallon bags, so bring a cooler for your car ride home! Please call 251-465-1598 for availability before booking.
